In the contemporary era, for social, educational, and professional successes, special attention must be paid to communication skills in engaging learning environments. Effective communication skills, such as articulating opinions in group discussions, expressing emotions, and engaging in discourse about current events, are indispensable in modern life. Creative drama learning environments serve as dynamic educational platforms that play a crucial role in enhancing communication skills, such as listening, speaking, observing, empathy, and face-to-face interaction, in both formal and informal settings. This applied research adopts a qualitative methodology and utilizes the PRISMA model for conducting a systematic review. The Keywords related to the study were examined in five academic databases: JSTOR, ProQuest, Web of Science, and the Scientific Information Database of Jihad-e-Daneshgahi. A total of 173 relevant articles were identified, from which 18 were selected based on the BETEN criteria for description, analysis, and inference. The analysis of selected studies indicates that creative drama learning environments activate learners, enhance collaborative activities, strengthen listening comprehension, improve speaking skills, accelerate information processing, promote meaningful learning, develop self-confidence, foster positive attitudes, and increase learners' academic success. Nevertheless, the selected articles also mention challenges such as the time-intensive nature of implementation and insufficient trainer familiarity with the approach. Therefore, the structured and practical application of creative drama learning environments, alongside other educational methods, can contribute significantly to the development of communication skills in the education system. Thus, policymakers in the field of education can leverage the capabilities of the creative drama learning environments in their strategic planning and policymaking to enhance the communication competencies of the future workforce.
